The one on the left is a 1911 Harley-Davidson V-Twin Model 7D. It's the first V-Twin that Harley ever made. It started a long line of successful V-Twin engines that would remain the hallmark of the Harley-Davidson motorcycle. The suspension is provided by long coil springs in the front fork tubes, and smaller springs under the seat for riding comfort. Top speed was 60 mph. It cost $300 back then, but only 5 have survived so they are collectors items today.

The motorcycle on the top right is a very rare 1912 Thor VII that we moved to a museum in Oxnard, CA. This Thor VII has a small V-Twin motor. The motorcycles of that era look more like bicycles with small engines, usually 50 or 60 cc's.

The motorcycle on the left is a Pierce 4 cyclinder motorcyle from the 1920's. It was on display in "The Art Of The Motorcycle" exhibit in Memphis TN through Oct 31st 2005. The show will re-open in Orlando FL on January 22nd 2006. Allied was the official moving company chosen to move these one-of-a-kind motorcycles.

The motorcycle to the right is an MV Agusta from the 1950's. It's single-cylinder engine and small size is typical of motorcycles from the 40's & 50's. Still in great condition.

MV Agusta's first motorcycle (in 1946) featured a 98cc two-stroke single-cylinder engine, and was quickly followed by a racing version. The first four-stroke, 249cc single-cylinder engine was built in 1947. It powered a Grand Prix Racer that really grabbed the headlines. MV Agusta's breakthrough came in 1956, when it signed the rising British star John Sturees, who rode the 497cc racing version to its first world title. Surtees went on to win six more titles (three in the 500cc class) before retiring at the end of 1960. By the time MV Agusta quit the sport at the end of 1976, it had won over 3000 international races, 38 individual world championships, and 37 manufacturer's titles, making it the most successful team ever.

Here's an old Harley fixer-upper. The condition report on this bike must have taken a while to fill out. If you are interested in selling an old Harley of the 1950's or 1960's of any quality, we can put you in touch with a company that buys old Harley's. The bike on the right is a nice-looking Harley from the 1950's or 60's in excellent condition.
