The Local Pickup & Delivery

We use a small truck to pickup your motorcycle. The truck has a lift-gate on it, so we don't have to push the bike up the ramps. We bring the motorcycle skid and tie-downs with us, and strap it down once it's inside the truck. It stays strapped to the same skid until the delivery is made. We use a fork lift to move it from one truck to another.

Here you see them strapping down the motorcycle to the skid. Keep in mind that the gas does not need to be drained, but keep the fuel low. Don't fill it up just before we take it. The brake fluid and oil don't have to be drained either. The battery does not need to be disconnected. If you have other items to ship with the motorcycle (extra pipe, box of parts, accessories, etc.) it's best to ship them with UPS. We don't like to load other items on the skid because we don't want them to move around and cause damage to other motorcycles. If the driver can secure the item to the skid without the chance of it falling off, he will take it, but it costs an extra $68.00.

Saddle bags are no problem. Just have everything attached to the bike, and have the seat available for sitting on. They need to be in the riding position to move it, but they will not start the engine. It's okay to keep the key in the ignition, or zip-tie it to the handle bars. We need to have the steering unlocked.

Before we pickup your motorcycle, we make a detailed condition report of any small scratches or damage that it has. If it's in perfect condition we note that down. You sign the paperwork verifying the existing condition at the time of loading. When we deliver your motorcycle, we make another condition report. You can see that there was no new damage on the motorcycle.

Damage is extremely rare. We include $500.00 of insurance for free with each bike. Your motorcycle insurance probably fully covers the bike during shipping with us. You should check it out. We do offer full replacement insurance at low prices if you need it.
