You Can't Move These Items
Before your possessions are packed and loaded, it is
important that you understand which items cannot be moved.
Here is the list:
Liquid Cleaning Supplies
You can't move liquid cleaning supplies like liquid laundry soap, all-purpose cleaners, glass cleaner, ammonia, or any liquid in
a plastic container. Basically anything that looks like the picture to the right. The problem with moving these products
is that they usually spring a leak when being moved. The changing altitude and changing temperature of the truck makes
the plastic containers expand and contract, causing a crack in the bottom corner of the container. It could damage
your furniture if it spills on it. Powered laundry soap is okay.
Combustible Items
You can't move anything combustible like gasoline, kerosine, lighter fluid, matches, propane tanks, paint, paint thinner, nail
polish remover, ammunition, fireworks, and any aerosol cans. The problem is obvious. Gas cans must be empty and not even
smell like gasoline or the driver will refuse them. Propane cans from barbeques are not
allowed even if they are empty. They are just too risky. They've blown up one too many times, so no driver will let one
of them inside his truck. Which also means you can rest assured that no other load on the truck will put your shipment at risk
by moving these dangerous combustibles. Diving tanks are okay as long as they are practically empty.
Perishible Items
You can't move any perishible items like any food that will spoil. But it's okay to move can goods, boxes of grocery items,
and spices - that's okay.
